Hydration Challenge
Below are the details for TxDOT Austin District's second Keep Safety Simple (KSS) challenge. Good luck to everyone and stay vigilant.

The Hydration Challenge has officially ended!
Congratulations to all section teams who met the challenge and for staying safe and hydrated this summer.
​
We will hold a live drawing at the 7:05am Safety Meeting on Tuesday, August 6 to choose a winning team at random. The winning team will receive a homemade breakfast cooked by Tucker, Mike and Lori!

Challenge Requirements
All requirements must be met as an individual and as a team.
Start Date: 6/1/2024 | End Date: 7/31/2024
During this summer short-term challenge we will focus on "P” for "Prepare" and "L" for "Listen" in SIMPLE. Prepare yourself and crew for the hot days that are ahead. Remember to take intentional hydration breaks and listen to your body. Preparation and listening to yourself and your employees will help prevent heat-related incidents.

This month there will be a strong focus on TxDOT’s 2024 Safe Days of Summer: Safety is a Habit and once again, staying hydrated!
Requirements:
All requirements listed must be met throughout the challenge timeframe to be eligible to win an award.

Award*: A free breakfast cooked by Tucker, Mike, and Lori!
​
*All sections who tie with zero heat-related incidents will be placed in a drawing where a random section will be chosen as the challenge winner.
